Re:        OC Mental Health Conference – 2006

For the past six years, service providers and recipients throughout Orange County have joined together to
create a uniquely successful countywide event, the Orange County Mental Health Conference. This year’s
conference to be held on Friday June 23, 2006 (8:30 am to 3:30 pm) will again focus on themes of wellness
and evidence based practices, and serve as a forum for exploring complimentary approaches to attaining
and sustaining personal recovery.

With support provided by many of our county's provider agencies, the planning committee is now preparing
registration and promotional materials, and planning for the day's activities. In doing so, we want to be certain
to appropriately credit all sponsor agencies.

For a contribution of $175 (used, as always, to offset conference related expenses) sponsors will be
identified in conference literature and advertising and will be given the opportunity to send 10
representatives. Naturally some organizations will choose to send more people and can do so at a cost of
$15 per person. This is fine keeping in mind that our goal is always to encourage participation by recipients
and providers.

If your organization is planning to become a sponsor, we are asking that you advise us of your intention to do
so by no later than Thursday 5/11/06, so we may ensure that you receive full recognition our printed
materials. Please feel free to reply back to me via e-mail or call me at 565-1162 (210).

Also, I am attaching the conference pre-registration form which should be completed and forwarded to RSS
as indicated at the bottom of the form. If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call.

Reminder: our next planning meeting is scheduled for Thursday, May 11, 2006 at
2 PM and will be held at Independent Living, Inc. located at 5 Washington Terrace in Newburgh. All are
welcome and encouraged to participate.
